Have you thought about what you will be doing on the bike over the festive period?
London-based clothing brand, Rapha, and on-line training aid, Strava, are challenging you to join them in clocking 500km between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve for their Festive 500.
The companies are challenging keen riders anywhere in the world to attempt to log the miles over the eight days, providing Strava evidence in order to be eligible to collect a roundel.
As in previous years, all riders taking on the challenge must register through Rapha as well as provide the Strava evidence.
Rapha is also running a photo competition to run alongside the challenge, looking for its most creative documentation and rider style, which will be open through Twitter, Instagram, Strava, Facebook, Youtube, blogging sites or even by post.
The winner will receive a place on the 2014 Rapha Cent Cols Challenge – tackling 100 peaks over ten days – normally worth upwards of £2,500.
Cycle clubs worldwide will be hosting rides, and more information can be found at rapha.cc/cycle-club
Furthermore, if you need something to keep you occupied over the coming weeks that does not include the dreaded C-word, Rapha have come to the rescue with their Alpe d’Quiz, which starts tomorrow – Wednesday December 4.
Offering three weeks of road racing trivia, with prizes to a winner each day from the AW13 range and a Rapha Race Bag and Grand Tour Shoes Bundle for the overall winner, it is perfect for those looking to escape the pre-Christmas drag.
