3T have unveiled a range of London Edition components ahead of this year’s Olympic Games to celebrate the Olympic champions who have won on the Italian company’s handlebars in the past 50 years.
The London Edition range is made up of handlebars, stems and seatposts, with one set for road and one for mountain biking. The road package comprises 3T’s Ergonova Team ‘bars, Arx Team stem and Dorico Team seatpost.
The components are finished in a high-gloss white with a “striking, asymmetric motif, suggestive of the prestigious rainbow colors: yellow, green, red, black, and blue.”
The London Edition 3T Ergonova Team handlebars will cost £224.99, with the 3T ARX Team stem £74.99 and the 3T Dorico Team seatpost £99.99. All three will be available from mid-June.
“This London Edition honours all the champions that rode our 3T bars to victory during the past Olympic Games,” said 3T chief executive René Wiertz. “These components fizz with colour and will perfectly set off bicycles finished in stealth-look greys and blacks, and the pearl-whites that are also popular. No doubt we will see them on bikes of many other colors too.
“At the last Olympiad, in Beijing, 3T had medal winners in Fabian Cancellara and Gustav Larsson riding our Ventus TT bar. We’ve come a long way since then. Four years on, in London, there will be numerous riders on 3T – in road-racing, time-trial, and track events. The new London Edition gives 3T fans something really special to mark this year.”
