Abus have introduced the In-Vizz helmet, which features a sliding, integrated visor.
The visor can be retracted using a switch in the middle of the helmet, and it can also be removed to be cleaned, or swapped for a different shade, depending on conditions.
Visors are common on time trial and aero helmets like the Giro Air Attack but this is the first we seen on a regular road lid. The visor is designed to offer protection from the wind, rain, sun, dirt and UV rays, particular for riders who wear spectacles.
Otherwise, like most modern helmets, the In-Vizz has an in-mold construction which fuses the polycarbonate shell with the EPS foam to improve durability. Twenty-two vents should provide plenty of cooling.
The In-Vizz will be available in three colours (the high-vis option pictured, as well as black and white) and will cost £129.99.
