Riding position
Riding position
Your winter riding position should reflect your summer position as closely as possible to smooth the transition between the two and avoid any bio-mechanical issues.
Some frames, like the 4S featured in this buyer’s guide, have a suitably aggressive position to reflect this, and it is a popular choice with racers as a result.
That said, many winter frames have a more relaxed geometry and it may not be possible to mirror your position, but, at the least, saddle height should always remain the same, and aim to use the same saddle and cockpit components (even if using more affordable versions from the same range).
