Charity cyclist Jane Tomlinson is finishing her 36-day, 2,500 mile bike ride this morning by riding from Glossop to her home town of Leeds.
Despite an ongoing fight against terminal cancer that has, on some days, seen Jane barely well enough to get on the bike, determination has seen Jane and her brother, Luke Goward, reach the end of their European tandem epic that has even taken in Mount Ventoux.
Jane has already raised half a million pounds through challenges such as three marathons, a triathlon, a half ironman triathlon and a bike ride from John o’Groats to Land’s End. This ride has so far raised nearly £150,000.
Now Jane’s family, husband and three children, are looking forward to her being home and making the most of their time together.
All cash Jane’s raised will be split between Macmillan Cancer Relief, SPARKS, Leeds Acute Paediatric Services and Hannah House – respite care for children. If you’d like to contribute you can do so online at www.janesappeal.com.
Donations can also be sent to The Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Yorkshire Building Society, Commercial Street, Rothwell, Leeds LS26 0AW. Sort Code: 57 00 45. Account No: 5349471430.
