This latest LED from DiNotte is firmly aimed at the commuter/road market. It may be little but it still has a remarkable amount of features for one so small. In fact it’s being used by many off roaders too, as a night riding light. That’s how good it is.

What’s it’s appeal? well it has a super powerful 5W Luxeon emitter LED light source and, unlike most rechargeable units, it takes just 4 x AA batteries – so you can use either rechargeable NiCads or shop bought standard AA cells. This means you will never get caught out without a light for training.

The launch price is a reasonable £119 (Special price, just for Christmas) usually £150

The elastic ‘O’ ring band attachment means that it will fit any type of handlebar, which is great relief to those bikes running 31.8mm or flat-top bars, you also get a helmet-cam style attachement and due to the nature of the unit’s light weight, it’s a good option for attaching to the top of your lid.

We are currently testing them and the first impressions are excellent, although the battery pack is a bit shoddy looking – it doesn’t appear to be very waterproof. However the main light unit is bombproof and it’s so light and easy to fit. So overall we’re quite taken with it.
