Dutch custom steel frame manufacturer Duell has arrived in the UK through distributor Bikesales4u.
Duell head honchos Jan van Dalen and John van Herwerden have been designing and hand-building steel bicycles for more than 30 years.
The 2011 Duell range consists of the Passion, Passion Classic, Vogue VS and Vogue VSO road race frames, plus an Audax Roadmaster and a fixed gear frameset due for release shortly, which will kick off the collection at £1,395.
The Passion, Duell say, is perfect for handling the corners in a city centre criterium or climbing in the Alps.
The frame is made with Dedacciai SAT 14.5 tubes, triple butted with varying wall thickness, and is available with a Deda carbon fork for £1,499 or Easton SL90 carbon fork for £1,699.
The Vogue VS is built using Dedacciai EOM 16.5 steel tubing. The triple butted tubes have had chromium, molybdenum, vanadium and manganese and boron added, creating a tube of high performance alloys with a tensile strength of 1650 N/mm².
The frame is available with a Deda Black Fin carbon fork for £1,895 or with the same fork and oversized head tube for £1,995.
