Take a waterproof jacket, an LED light, merge the two and you’ve got Endura’s new Luminute jacket, the latest line of defence against not being seen on the roads this winter.
At its heart is a 2.5L fully seam sealed waterproof jacket with Endura’s usual attention for detail and the good fit we’ve come to expect from the Scottish company. Available in three colours, the jacket gets a storm flap on the front zipper to keep rain out and a large rear pocket, zipped pit vents, a waterproof chest pocket, soft lining on the collar and in the pockets, Velcro cuffs and drawcord neck and hem adjustment.
What sets the jacket apart however is an LED ‘light strip’ that’s bonded into the rear of the jacket above the dropped tail, and which should run for a claimed 50hrs using a replaceable CR2032 battery. Generous reflective panels around the rear and along the shoulders/arms should ensure nobody can claim to have not seen you.
The Luminite jacket costs £69.99 and is available in five sizes (S-XXL) and three colours.
