Evans Cycles will be holding a turbo trainer demonstration evening on Thursday 28 January 2010 at their Glasgow store from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The evening will be ideal for those seeking to invest in a turbo trainer with a full range from entry-level machines through to high specification models on show. All of the top indoor training brands will be present including Tacx, Minoura, Elite, and Cycleops.
“With the poor weather we have been experiencing recently this is the ideal time to invest in an indoor trainer,” says Mark McGhee, Assistant Manager of the Glasgow store. “We understand that the purchase of a turbo can be a daunting prospect as they can have a bewildering array of features and price tags. There will be experienced staff on hand to discuss the functions and benefits of each machine and to help the customers make an informed decision regarding their individual requirements.”
There will also be a competition where one lucky customer will take home a free machine from the evening. For those not lucky enough to win, any machines purchased or orders taken on the evening will attract a 20% discount from the normal retail price.
Roller riding, another aspect of indoor training, can be a very challenging experience for those new to indoor trainers. To help bridge this gap there will be a demonstration of roller riding from Mark and Alexis Barnes, the recently crowned World Mrs Santa Cross Champion. Any customers wishing to try their hand on the rollers will be encouraged to do so and will be fully supported if required.
