Filippo Pozzato has had a good start to the season, gracing the top step of the podium a couple of times. This weekends Milan-San Remo will see him try to repeat his victory of last year. To help him, Cannondale have delivered a very special SystemSix.

Cannondale knows that Pippo has an affinity for fast and beautiful machines—namely his Ferrari and his SystemSix. “For Milan-San Remo I wanted something special on my bike to inspire me. The colour is Mercury Silver. In ancient Rome, Mercury was the messenger to the Gods. And, as a substance, Mercury is very hard to catch!”

Pippo’s SystemSix will be painted by Lara Cassanelli and Danilo Straffi of Artech Design. They’re a custom paint studio located near Bologna and have done many important projects for Ferrari and Lamborghini. The mercury coloured paint used in this bike is a unique blend which has been developed for Ferrari – it costs €500 per half litre!

On Saturday, if the cycling gods are favourable, Mercurio Pozzato will deliver the message of victory to Via Roma in San Remo!
