Early autumn is one of our favourite times of year to ride.
There’s still a hint of summer in the air, with the sun warm and the days relatively long, and the trees are slowly beginning to change colour. Deep winter is still some way off and, and, after many months of riding in the legs, many of us may have something resembling form and fitness to make use of.
The September of 2014 has been kind so far, with relatively little rain and above average temperatures, but there has been a subtle but noticeable change in the season, with chilly mornings and the nights, slowly but ever-so-surely, beginning to draw in.
But there’s no need to dig your deep winter kit out from the loft yet – just a handful of carefully chosen accessories can transform your summer kit into a versatile autumn ensemble capable of seeing off the changeable weather that’s sure to come.
