Upgrade Bikes issue product recall for Racelight T fork

Three models of Racelight T carbon fibre fork sold between 2003 and 2009 affected

Upgrade Bikes, the distributor of Kinesis Bikes, have issued a product recall on three models of Racelight T forks sold between 2003 and 2009.

The forks affected are the Full Carbon Racelight T, 12K Racelight T and Racelight T Full Carbon. Kinesis have identified the possibility of a bonding failure between the aluminium fork crown and carbon fibre steerer tube.

 

If your fork has any of the logos in the photo above then you are advised to stop using it immediately and to return it via the retailer you purchased your fork from or directly to Upgrade Bikes using the address on the Kinesis website, in order to get a replacement Kinesis DC07 fork.. If your fork has any of the following features then it is not subject to the recall: short drop brakes (39 -51mm); tapered steerer; it is full carbon (no alloy parts); it Is full alloy; has an alloy steerer tube; has no mudguard eyelets; bears the Kinesis or Kinesis UK logos.
