Kinesis EVO2 is the latest incarnation of the Kinesis family of ‘crossers. We have tested a couple of Kinesis road bikes and their latest batch of bikes now includes a complete bike option for cross bikes and winter trainers.
Where Kinesis can change their bikes they do quickly, working with a UK design team means that they can react to changes and as they say:
“This frame has been developed through close collaboration with professional riders in top level competition and offers real performance advantages.”
The EVO2 features an aSTAY which is an oversize drive side chainstay that enhances acceleration and helps get the power down when out of the saddle, the aSTAY system allows us to keep the back end light without compromising response and stiffness. Made from Easton Ultralite tubing and featuring their latest Carbon monocoque fork that is only 460g it’s matched up to the carbon wishbone rear end.
We had a rider using this one at the Three Peaks yesterday (Sunday 25th) and a full report to follow, just as soon as he can summon the energy…
