RCUK doesn’t often report on triathlon specific products, but these new Carbon Tri HRS shoes from Louis Garneau are worth a mention.
They feature a laminated micro fiber leather upper that is 100% mouldable, allowing the perfect fit for increased comfort and power transfer. This upper is attached to the HRS Exo-Jet sole that comprises 10 layers of carbon fibre, and is reportedly as stiff as the company could make it. A ‘power plate’ sandwiched in between to promote toe-to-heel airflow.
Key for triathlons is quick transition between the different disciplines, and here Louis Garneau has designed a reverse power belt which offers quick entry and exit while not compromising on support and foot retention.
