Cycle Show 2013: model year 2014 bikes available to try on test track

Model year 2014 bikes from some of the biggest brands in cycling will be among those available to try for visitors to The Cycle Show, which opens to the public on Friday (September 27, 2013).

RoadCyclingUK.com will host the Elite Road Test Track and has joined forces with the show’s organisers, Upper Street Events, and some of the most prestigious marques in the sport, to offer a host of the latest machines for demonstration.

Trek will provide a range of Madone and Domane road bikes, with the latter including a revolutionary IsoSpeed decoupler device: a pivot between the seat-tube and top tube for added comfort.

The Bianchi Infinito CV will be among the machines availble to test on the Cycle Show’s premium road bike test track

Bianchi will supply Infinito CV machines in five sizes from 50cm to 59cm, offering the chance for riders of all sizes to try a machine debuted at Paris-Roubaix by Juan Antonio Flecha.

They’ll be bikes from Cube, Rose, Team Carbon, and Fondriest too, and a selection of high-end steel bikes from London brand Condor, including the race ready Super Acciaio.

While thousands of visitors are expected to try out the latest bikes during the three-day show, the Elite Road Test Track will be far from the only attraction at one of the biggest events on the UK cycling calendar.

Cube, Fondriest and Trek will also be among those showing off their latest products in the exhibition hall, many of them for the first time on UK soil after premiering them at the giant Eurobike show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, last month.

And a packed programme of guest speakers, including some of the biggest names in the sport, will mingle with visitors and give talks across the three days.

Olympic gold medalist, Joanna Rowsell, who recently added the British time trial title to a glittering palmares, will open the show on Saturday (29) with a live Q&A with journalist, Ned Boulting.

Irishman, Sean Kelly, one of the greatest riders in the history of the sport, will take part in a ‘meet the authors’ seminar later the same day, alongside some of the leading cycling writers, including Sean Yates, who has recently published his autobiography.
