More NEW stuff!

Salsa are a well known MTB manufacturer renowned for excellent quality and reasonable prices.

Components-wise they have a new stem made from heat treated Scandium. In 31.8mm clamp diameter, it’s silly-light and not available just yet… Price also TBC.

The new Salsa Campeon Scandium road frame looks like excellent value. At under £1k for the frame and fork or £1599 for a complete bike with Ultegra or £1750 with a Chorus group. Sizes in 47-62cm

There is a new TT bike from Salsa too, the price will be confirmed soon. The Cross frame has been really well received in the press and in this colour (pic. above right) who can resist? Should be around the £900 mark for frame and fork. Sizes in 50-60cm.

FSA are the world’s biggest crank manufacturer and they have a lovely new crank for 2005. Also now available are the razor sharp brake levers that Tyler used in the Olympics…

Tektro are to brakes what FSA are to cranks and their latest offering is a lightweight brake, carbon wrapped for added strength and drool appeal. Should be around £130 for the pair and they weigh around 155g per wheel.

And, lastly, Cane Creek have re-vamped their excellent wheels and lowered the price to £250, a test to follow very soon…
