Olympic and World Road Champion 2008	Limited Edition in white

Standing alongside Nicole Cooke’s stealthy black carbon-fibre cboardman PRO/Race Prepared Olympic and worlds-winning road bike at the Manchester launch of Chris Boardman’s 2009 range was an even more eye-catching machine in glossy white with gold detailing right down to gold-finished Speedplay pedals. It didn’t take to long to figure it was – if not a ‘replica’ – certainly a bike built to commemorate the Welsh woman’s unbelievable 2008 season and, in particular, her emotional win at the Beijing Olympics.

Bearing the legend Nicole Cooke Olympic Champion 2008, the cycle uses the same cboardman PRO C frameset, SRAM RED componentry, Ritchey WCS finishing kit and Zipp wheels as ridden by Nicole. Details of numbers, price and sizes to be made available are yet to be finalised but this particular Limited Edition won’t stay long on the shop floor.
