One of the prettiest track bikes RCUK has seen, the Pinarello Carbon Xtrack FP is an entirely new design developed in conjunction with a number of Pinarello-sponsored national cycling teams for use at the Beijing Olympics. Two versions are available, suited to Madison and Sprint use respectively. The Madison version weighs around 1200g depending on size, and is constructed using a 12K HM carbon fibre twill in order to achieve desired levels of stiffness and comfort. The greater forces involved in sprinting require the use of 3K twill for the Sprint version, which weighs some 1350g. The UK retail price of £2240 includes fork, headset and Pinarello Most Tail carbon seatpost. Sizes are 46cm, 51.5cm, 53cm, 55cm and 58cm.
