Recovery products are well-proven to reduce recovery times, but due to their complex ingredients they can prove a little expensive, particularly if used often.

Mars reckon its Refuel chocolate drink can “…increase exercise recovery rate by up to 50% when compared with leading sports drinks.” The company has carried out research that concludes its Refuel enables cyclists to cycle 43% and 51% longer than other leading brands.

We’ll take that with a little pinch of salt, though, but if you’re interested, the new, larger 475ml bottle also gets a sports cap, making refueling on the move altogether easier, and saving you having to drink the whole bottle in one go.

Mars Refuel is available across the UK from January costing £1.19.
