Riding a Prologue is all about riding as fast as you possibly can, and key to doing that is knowing exactly how fast you are travelling. Time trial bikes don’t lend themselves to easy mounting of cycle computers and heart rate monitors however, requiring mechanics to devise ingenious solutions such as these two we spotted.

For a company that started out and built their reputation with aluminium frames, it seems to have been a long time coming for a full-carbon offering. But following the aluminium/carbon SystemSix, Cannondale have launched their first all-carbon frame, the SuperSix. This is Team Barloworld’s SuperSix, sporting the newly revealed Mavic R-SYS wheels and the latest Cannondale SI chainset with FSA rings.
A Cervelo P3 took Fabian Cancellara to his staggering win in the Prologue, and looking at his bike it’s clear it played an important part in his breath-taking ride.
