RCUK Bikes Steve Hodgson's Dolan Excalibur

This is my race bike, bought just over a year ago, part-funded via my employer’s Bike 2 Work scheme, which was a bit of a coup, getting £1K off the cost of the bike tax-free.

I chose the bike due to a budget cap of £1.5K and wanting a carbon
frame and forks, the Dolan Excalibur fitted the bill. Plus the power
bulge on the down tube looks good. The carbon monocoque frame deadens vibration well and is stiff and responsive. It has a nice tight rear triangle for getting the power down and is quick to race yet comfortable for all day rides too.

Recent additions are the Easton Tempest wheels shod with Michelin Pro Race Service Course tyres (and latex tubes) and the Ritchey WCS carbon handlebars and Ritchey Pro seatpost.
