Reynolds has added a tubular version of the Assault clincher wheelset to the wheel range for 2010. Like its older brother, the new Assault T offers all-carbon deep section rim performance, thanks to its 46mm Ultralight (UL) high modulus carbon deep-V rim. The tubular design shaves a few additional grammes over the clincher rim and gives purists a little something extra to obsess about.
Spoke pattern is the regular 20/24 front/rear on Reynolds-Specific Design hubs, with DT Revolution spokes radially laced on the front and a DT Revolution and DT Competition mix laced radially non-drive and two-cross drive side at the rear. Weight is a claimed 1330 g per pair. Price is to be confirmed.
