Saddleback (importers of Felt, Castelli and Zipp) has announced the addition of Vredestein to its stable of brands.

Vredestein has been making tyres for over 100 years, celebrating the centenary in 2008 and with sales of 7,000,000 tyres per annum. Based at Enschede in the Netherlands, their design team continues to create products that are distributed throughout the world.

Saddleback Director Andy Wigmore says: “We have been looking for some time to include a high end tyre line to our business…

“We were impressed that in this mass produced age we live in that Vredestein tyres are all still handmade and this clearly shows in the quality of the product.”

Vredestein tyres will be used by the Katusha professional cycling team, which includes the likes of Robbie McEwen and English rider Ben Swift.
