Team Sky kit and bike go under the hammer

Team Sky wore a new-look green kit during the Tour of Britain

Team Sky are auctioning the kit worn during this year’s Tour of Britain – with Bradley Wiggins’ bike also going under the hammer.

The British pro outfit changed their colours from blue to green during the race to raise awareness of Sky Rainforest Rescue – a three year partnership between Sky and WWF to help save a billion trees in the Amazon.

Sky Rainforest Rescue has teamed up with GoingGoingBike to auction off the exclusive kit and triple Olympic champion Wiggins’ £14,000 Pinarello Dogma bike.

Kiwi sprinter Greg Henderson was Team Sky’s top Tour of Britain finisher in third, while Wiggins claimed second on stage five in Glastonbury.

All money raised through Sky Rainforest Rescue will be donated to WWF-UK. Sky will donate a further £1 to WWF-UK to match each £1 raised.
