We loved Brooks race-inspired saddle, the Cambium C15, when we reviewed it back in March, and it’s now available with an ergonomic cut-out to relieve pressure from the perineal area.
The Brooks Cambium C15 Carved, as the new saddle is known, is based on the same narrow shape as the regular C15, being 140mm wide, and uses the same hard-wearing vulcanised natural rubber and organic cotton cover, die-cast aluminium structure and tubular steel rails as the rest of the Cambium line-up.
The saddle continues to use Brooks’ classic ‘hammock’ construction, with the flex it serves up helping to reduce road vibrations and improve rider comfort, but the rubber and cotton cover of the C15 doesn’t need breaking in, unlike a regular leather Brooks saddle.
The C15 Carved weighs a claimed 395g, so it still carries a weight penalty over a typical racing saddle, even if the shape is fairly aggressive, and is available in two colours: black with black rubber or slate with natural rubber. Yours for €150.
