Planning on doing some touring? You need Thorn’s new Raven Sport. The main frame is manufactured from Reynolds 853 conical tubing and the rear stays from 725. Vertical dropouts allow the use of the Rohloff gear hub, and an eccentric bottom bracket makes tensioning the chain a piece of cake. There’s loads of brazed-on steel fittings for mudguards, racks and whatever else you want to hang of the frame.

The frame is aimed at people wanting something a little lighter and with quicker handling than the more heavy duty Raven Tour. The maximum load/tow weight is 17kg for the Sport. Eleven different sizes are available with the choice of four powder coated finishes; Matt Blank, British Racing Green, Cobalt Blue and Blood Red. £599.99 will get you the frame or starting at £1299 for a complete build, with the option of tailored specs.
