Barack Obama has been elected 44th POTUS. His campaign, said to have been the best-funded in US history, was funded in large part by small contributions from a large number of well-wishers and benefited from some highly-imaginative online advertising to encourage voter turn-out. ThunderVote.com was set up by New York-based Thunderdog Studios, Inc. with just that purpose in mind and, being based in the Big Apple, naturally turned to the cult of the messenger bike for one of the various projects undertaken, which included a poster and ballot-box-shaped folding paper toy.

Artist Tristan Eaton painted a Dolan track frame and HED disc rear wheel in ThunderVote Obama livery, finishing the design with tyres, saddle, handlebar grips and chain in patriotic red, white and blue. Smart, huh?
