Embrace it
A positive attitude is the best way to beat a headwind – but one that will inevitably test your resolve.
Think of it as resistance training and use it to add an extra challenge to your riding.
Resign yourself to the fact the wind can seemingly blow for weeks at a time. Embrace the wind, grit your teeth, see it as a challenge and you will reap the rewards in your training.
If you can survive periods of morale-bruising wind then you can smile safe in the knowledge that you have trained through it when a clear window of weather arrives and it’s time to ride hard and fast.
