Yet another reason to head to the velodrome tonight for the Revolution 11.
Henry Iddon is a professional photographer and was recycling.co.uk’s official snapper for 2005. 1 Down 5 To Go is behind the scenes photography following the Recycling.co.uk/ Litespeed Pro Cycling Team during the 2005 Tour of Britain. And if you can’t make it tonight don’t worry it’s on until 31 March.
There is endless coverage in the specialist and general media of sporting events, showing all the action and atmosphere. Rarely though are you given the opportunity to witness what occurs away from the public gaze. With unprecedented access this series of images takes a look at some of the events within the Recycling.co.uk / Litespeed Pro Cycling Team during the 2005 Tour of Britain. These photographs follow them from stage 2 which took place on 31st August and started in Carlisle, until the final stage in London on the 4th of September.
Henry’s photography is of action, architecture, documentary subjects and modern lifestyles is concerned with finding the aesthetic in the everyday. His aim is to produce images that not only sit within the discourse that is contemporary art and culture but also compliment the very best in commercial print and digital media. He’s also pretty handy on a bike too.
