The Beeb will be featuring the Olympics on Saturday and that means the opening cycling event – The men’s road race. It’s live on freeview and cable. BBC1 Grandstand will feature parts of it(!?) during the afternoon slot from 13-45pm. Hugh Porter should be at the mic. which will be a nice change from Phil Liggett and Duffers. Alternatively if they can manage to break from the football (and you’re going to be out riding) Simon Brotherton will be filling you in on the details from the roadside on Radio Five Live.
Sunday is a ‘must-watch’ day too as Nicole Cooke will set out to win her first Gold medal in the Women’s Road Race. This can be seen live on BBC Interactive TV – Stream 3.
For details on how you can get this and more of the TV schedule go to the BBC timetables.
Also there is a full itinerary of events there too.
