The British Heart Foundation has added an early-season sportive to its calendar of events.
The Heartride, on March 26 2011, starts from Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway before splitting into three routes – 60 miles, 30 miles and 15 miles.
The full-length sportive route heads out on a loop of the Machars taking in Wigtown, the River Bladnoch, Port William and Glenluce.
The 15-mile demi-sportive ride heads to the Glentrool Forest Park before following the River Cree, while the 15-mile family ride is ideal for novice riders.
There are also two off-road options – a 10km blue route and 17km red route.
Entry costs £15 for adults and £5 for children. Head this way for more information.
