Want the chance to ride with a champion? Bike Wales is a mass-participation event on 21 August taking place in Newport, South Wales. All the action will centre round the 5-star Celtic Manor Resort, and much of the riding will head out into the picturesque Usk Valley.
The champion referred to above will be the UK’s fastest women rider and Commonwealth Champion, Nicole Cooke (and still only 22-years old), plus a host of other top riders.
A choice of three routes will be available; a Bronze route measuring 30k, a Silver route at 82k and the 165k Gold route. All the routes will be dotted with drink stations, as well as mechanical support (if you need it) and first aiders will be on hand at all times.
