The Bristol Belter, powered by Specialized, returns in 2011 for a second year on September 25.
Based at the Redwood Country Club, the Belter offers 151km and 110km route options through the Bristol countryside, including the climbs of Cheddar Gorge and Burrington Combe.
The long route, serviced by three Torq feed stations, takes in 1,900m of climbing, while the short course, with two Torq feed stations, tackles 1,300m of ascent. The ride will be electronically timed and the courses fully marked, with every rider provided with a back-up map.
Car parking, showers, toilets and changing facilities will be available at the start/finish, while discounted accomodation is available at the Redwood Lodge Hotel. There will be a broom wagon patrolling the courses to pick up any strugglers.
Entry costs £25 in advance, or £30 on the day. More details at www.bristolbelter.com
