Herne Hill opens for training this Saturday…

Herne Hill

The days are getting longer, the track surface has been treated, and Herne Hill velodrome is re-opening for training. I would like to say we can look forward to training in pleasant sunshine, but the weather is still looking a bit ominous outside.

Herne Hill will reopen for its first Saturday morning training session this year on Saturday 11th March, so with a bit of luck we’ll be getting our track bikes out tomorrow.

Provided it’s not raining and the track is dried out sufficiently, training will commence every Saturday over the coming months. All abilities of rider will be able to hire track bikes, free of charge, and have a go at riding a fixed wheel.

Inductions and under 12’s training kicks off at 9am and at 10.30 the general training gets underway for more experienced riders and those who have found their feet and fancy joining in.

Here’s a summary of the available training at the velodrome. For more information visit; www.vcl.org.uk/hernehill.
