Kilo To Go events 2009

Typical North Cornwall Tor-ture

Kilo To Go, organisers of the North Cornwall Tor and the Cheshire Cat sportive, have made several format changes and added two brand new events for 2009.

Wild Edric and Tour of the Peak, taking place on 9 August and 24 October respectively, will join Kilo To Go’s successful existing events next year.

You can now enter the UCI sanctioned Cheshire Cat, taking place on 29 March 2009, by heading over to the redesigned www.kilotogo.com. Listening to feedback from this years event, the organisers will include several new sections to the route, including Macclesfield Forest, Wincle, Deadman’s Hill and the cobbled Swiss Hill – the incredibly steep Mow Cop killer mile remains as the pinnacle of the route.

The North Cornwall Tor, to be run on 19 April 2009, has already built a reputation for being relentlessly tough. Next year, as well as the 100 mile route, a 70 mile and 43 mile option will be available. Don’t think either of the shorter routes will be much easier however, as all riders will have to tackle Bishop’s Wood, a 28% climb that pops up just 18 miles shy of the finish line.
