London Cycling Book Club to meet Wednesday

William Fotheringham’s Put Me Back On My Bike is an RCUK favourite

The London Cycling Book Club will meet for the first time on January 12 at the Fitzroy Tavern.

The group is the idea of Matthias Pleyer, who hopes it will be “a place to meet for people who like riding the streets of London, and reading about riding everywhere.

“We aim to meet every four to six weeks in London to discuss a book or two and have a chat about anything from our latest cycling trips to the joys of cycling in London.”

Cycling’s rich history has brought with it a host of fine books, with the London Cycling Book Club picking their top five first titles to read here.

The first meeting will kick-off at 7pm. The full address of the Fitzroy Tavern in: 16 Charlotte Street, London, W1T 2NA.
