Paris-Roubaix
Boonen adds the Hell to his list of Classics. He won the 103rd edition of Paris-Roubaix and becomes the eighth rider in history to complete the Flanders-Roubaix double. It was a classic hardman’s race with Boonen being the only winner once the favourites had shaken the rest of the peloton. Next Boonen will tackle the Amstel Gold.
Despite his injuries Britain’s Roger Hammond performed admirably for his Discovery team mate George Hincapie and Jeremy Hunt came in 20th spot – A remarkable performance for the ‘sprinter’ from Devon.

But isn’t he a track rider? Tony Gibb continues in excellent form and shows the ‘roadies’ a thing or two about strong riding. He outsprinted felow breakaway companion Duncan Urqhart for his second win in a week.
