Revolution 7
Plenty of action at the Velodrome on Staurday night as the Revolution series continued to entertain the crowds. Wins from Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins in the Kilo and Scratch race were a bit of a sign-off as thay are all set to diversify their cycling talents over the next few years. Before the next Olympics they will have other targets; as Hoy heads to the Worlds and then to Japan and Bradley Wiggins takes on the pro road peloton. So they left their track racing duties at Manchester with some excellent racing. More later… take a look at www.cyclingrevolution.com in the meantime.
World ‘Cross round up
The World Cyclo Cross Championships provided, as we suspected, some snow and some Belgian winners. Probably one of the main reasons the British riders didn’t match up to expectations… as sadly the British Women couldn’t pull off a medal, with the best performance coming from Victoria Wilkinson in 16th spot.

Hammond shows form in Qatar
One day specialist and last year’s 3rd placed Paris Roubaix rider Roger Hammond (Discovery Channel) is showing he has carried over some form from last year as he sprinted to 4th place in the Doha International. Many of the riders will be treating this race as training but Hammond showed well in a quality field of riders chasing some excellent prize money. One of Hammond’s main rivals for Paris-Roubaix Tom Boonen (Quick Step) also showed he’s got some form. Roger also beat Cipo in a sprint!
