Revolution – 10

There will be extreme action in the endurance events at the second Revolution event of this season held at Manchester Velodrome on Saturday 19th November. With the three best Madison teams in the world confirmed to ride along with some of the world’s best sprinters to be announced shortly, it looks set to be an amazing night of racing.

World Madison Champions Rob Hayles and Mark Cavendish will come face to face with World Madison silver medallists, Danny Stam and Robert Slippens and bronze medallists, Matt Gilmore and Iijo Keisse setting the scene for an epic battle between some of the best endurance riders in the world. The Revolution will focus on sprint and endurance and plans are afoot to shake up the event programme to add a bit of extra excitement to the action.

There will be 14 teams taking part in the endurance events on the night and a special race has been added to the programme to showcase the two best teams in the world. A revenge pursuit Madison will see Cavendish and Hayles fighting it out against Slippens and Stam in a race never before seen at Revolution. Mark Cavendish, who is heading off to ride in the Grenoble Six, is upbeat about his chances:

“It’s cool that we’re going to be doing a race that hasn’t been done at Revolution before, it’s wicked, and it’s pretty special to be the top Madison team in the world, I’m really looking forward to it and I can get some practice in at the sixes before hand so I should be in reasonable form!”

With the domestic and international sprint stars still to be announced and a whole new selection of races to be added to the programme Revolution 10 will deliver a fantastic night of racing and entertainment.
