The Bike Show, 1-3 April 2005

In April 2005, The Bike Show is moving fifteen minutes down the road from the NEC to Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
As the organisers put it:
‘After seven exctiting years in Birmingham, the show has developed  into an event that encompasses all aspects of cycling, and as such needs a venue that reflects this. Stoneleigh Park offers more space, more options, unique areas, and most importantly of all, a venue that a cycling show can feel at home in.’

Manufacturer and Distributor Hall:
At long last there will be a better feel to the show – no longer will it be a retail bring and buy sale. This smart, purpose built exhibition hall will provide the perfect vehicle for showcasing the leading mountain, road and touring bike brands in the industry. Dedicated areas within this hall will house quality components, clothing and accessories, together with a dedicated area for cycling holiday and tourist organisations. Within the hub of the hall is the trials arena, hosting some of the best trials action to be seen in the UK.

BMX and Retail Hall:
Linking directly with the manufacturers and distributors will be the BMX and Retail area. Within this hall will be the UK’s best BMX vert comp on the Red Bull ramp, a section showcasing the leading BMX brands and a dedicated area for retailers of all bike products. So if you don’t fancy all that noise and young people you know to avoid this hall…

Elite Road racing
The Circuit Cup will be new and improved, as the extensive road network in Stoneleigh Park lends itself perfectly to creating a longer, faster and more exciting course. This has to better than racing around the car park at the NEC…

Although the main emphasis of the bike show is BMX and dirt jumping there is still a large section of road cycling exhibitors, these will be located in the main exhibitors hall. Those booked so far include:

Global, Hope Technology, Longstaff Cycles, Michelin, Santa Cruz, Scott USA and Thorn Cycles.
