Farnborough & Camberley Cycling Club are organising a Timed Training Session on
Saturday 11th November 2006 at 10:00, as a turn up and ride event for anybody who wants to participate. Everybody from complete novice to triathlete and regular
club racer is welcome to ride and women are especially welcome.
This is the first of a series of events that FCCC will be promoting through the
winter aimed at giving Time Trialists and road riders a great excuse to get out and train.
The rules will be explained at the start by the timekeeper
or similar F&CCC club representative, and are easy to follow. Don’t worry if this is your first TT, there is not mystery behind the sport and it’s a great training session if you want to judge yourself against the clock. You don’t need a specific TT bike, a road bike is just fine.
The idea is to ride as hard as you can till you reach the turn at a big
roundabout. Then ride harder than you did on the way out for the way
back till you reach the finish! Simple!! The person who covers the 10 mile
distance in the fastest time, is the winner.
Those who wish to do another lap, as soon as they pass the finish for first
10 miles, proceed back to the start by safely using a crossing point and
put in for their next 10 miles.
