Kilo to Go’s last event of the season will be the Verenti Tour of the Peak on October 30.
The 97 or 65 mile sportive, restricted to just 1,000 entries, takes in the toughest of the Peak District roads.
The ride features the seven mile Cat and Fiddle climb, the 20 per cent Winnats Pass and Holme Moss, used regularly in the Tour of Britain.
The routes wind their way from the White Peak to the Dark Peak taking in the impressive ‘Catherdal of the Peak’, and passing alongside Mam Tor.
The shorter route then passes along Rushup Edge before taking riders out on to a beautiful, wide descent with views across the Goyt Valley.
The long route takes in the Lord’s Seat, views of Kinder Scout, the Vale of Edale and up and around Ladybower and Derwent reservoirs – as used by pilots of the ‘Dam Buster’ 617 squadron.
Two cut-off points may be in operation on the 97 mile route, depending on weather conditions, at Ladybower and Langsett.
Every rider will receive a free HIGH5 race pack, worth £12.99, after the event.
