OneTen is the latest clothing brand to break cover on RoadCyclingUK, with the streamlined launch range containing ten pieces, including jerseys, base layers, arm and knee warmers, wind vests and jackets.
UK distributor Hotlines has sent a batch of samples our way, including the Giro Short Sleeve Jersey pictured above. It’s manufactured from a fast-drying, 100 per cent polyester microfibre, with mesh panels on the rear. Three pockets, a zipped pocket and a full-length zip at the front complete the look. It costs £39.99, reflecting an affordability that stretches across the range, and is available in three colours (black/white, red/white or white).
The Intimo Sleeveless Base Layer (£24.99) is made from the same fabric. When you first pick it up, you may think it’s inside out, but the label is, in fact, on the outside. Short sleeve (£27.99) and long sleeve (£29.99) versions are also available.
Next up, the white Vento Wind Jacket (£49.99) is made from micro-denier polyamide fabric designed to keep the breeze at bay. Details include a high collar, 3D shaped panels, dropped trail and minimal seaming with flexible and soft tape bindings on the cuffs and collar.
The Primo Bib Shorts (£49.99) are made from a 80/20 polyester/Lycra mix. The black shorts are contrasted by white mesh braces, and it’s worth noting there are no silicon grippers to hold the legs in place, just Lycra bands.
Now it’s got a little chilly outside, the Primo Bib Shorts will be teamed up with Knee Warmers (£24.99). We’re used to seeing Lycra knee warmers, often fleece-lined with a Roubaix fabric, but these (available in black or white) are knitted with a blend of polypropelene and polyamide microfibres, giving them a fabric feel as opposed to Lycra. OneTen’s Arm Warmers (£29.99, pictured above) have been given the same treatment.
Last up in our parcel is the Estati Cap (£9.99). It won’t be the subtlest cap seen on the club run, with OneTen plastered across the skull portion, but promises to stave off sun, wind and showers thanks to the durable and flexible polycotton construction.
