Matt Brammeier to write exclusively for RCUK

2010 Irish national road champion Matt Brammeier

Matt Brammeier will write exclusively for RoadCyclingUK throughout his debut season with Team HTC-Highroad.

Matt signed for HTC-Highroad from An Post Sean Kelly in October, reuniting with Mark Cavendish, a graduate of the same intake of British Cycling’s academy.

The 25-year-old represented Wales at the 2006 Commonwealth Games but broke both his legs while training in November 2007.

But he fought back and, after switching nationality, won the 2010 Irish National Road Race Championship ahead of defending champion Nicolas Roche (AG2R La Mondiale) and Dan Martin (Garmin-Transitions).

Matt will write a weekly blog for RCUK. Archive:

Week One – Escaping the snow and ice
Week Two – Some training camp
Week Three – Measuring up
