Revolution 20 preview

The Madison returns to Revolution as part of the season finale on February
23rd with international teams now confirmed to challenge the strong British
field.

Belgium will be testing their in form pairing of Iljo Keisse and Kenny De Ketele
with Holland sending European Madison Champions Peter Schep and Jens Mouris.

With the final Revolution falling after the Copenhagen World Cup it will provide
the last chance for riders to test their form in advance of the World Championships
and provide a crucial final opportunity to race on the Manchester track,

“The British team are using Revolution as a crucial test event ahead
of the Worlds” commented Technical Director Gordon Harling. “But
it is not just the Brits as the French are sending a strong sprint squad and
we will have the strongest pairings from Belgium and Holland in the Madison.”

The teams from Holland and Belgium will have their work cut out against powerful
British pairings including Geraint Thomas and Rob Hayles and Peter Kennaugh
and Jonny Bellis. Both these teams will have raced in the Madison at the Copenhagen
World Cup so will be in top form for the competition at Revolution.

The feature Madison will be once again held in memorial of Isaac Galvez who
tragically died at the Gent six in 2006 a week before he was scheduled to race
at the Revolution event.
