AG2R Prevoyance’s new signing Rinaldo Nocentini claimed the big stage of the Tour of the Med by outsprinting his breakaway companions at the summit of Mont Faron. Bouygues Telecom’s Pierrick Fedrigo placed second and Matteo Carrara of Unibet.com third. Ivan Gutierrez finished fourth to retain the yellow jersey he claimed at the end of stage 2.
