Rapha Hell of the North ride

Taking place on the day of the race itself, cycle clothing specialist Rapha’s homage to Paris-Roubaix, one of the monuments of cycle road racing, will be an adventure along the lanes, bridleways and dirt roads of Hertfordshire.

Although it won’t have as much pavé as northern France (in fact it will be gravé – 20 sectors of it), it will be tough and potentially filthy. Muddy terrain and bumpy ‘rough stuff’ will be encountered as Rapha celebrates the Queen of the Classics with a 100km social ride that will be a ‘rough stuff’ experience for roadies, singlespeeders and even mountain bikers.

The ride starts at 09:00hrs from Pond Square, Highgate, north London and finishes at the Black Horse pub, High Barnet.

A free beer and frites are available to every rider at the finish and there will be a screening of Paris-Roubaix 2010 itself.

Team Sky’s Juan Antonio Flecha has kindly sent Rapha a signed jersey. This will be awarded as a prize to the rider with the most punctures on Sunday the 11th April; proof will be required!

The ride is completely FREE to enter, so just turn up and ride.
