Sunday 6th June is Verenti Dragon Ride day and RCUK will be riding. That’s me, RH, plus former RCUK staff writer and now editor of bikemagic.com David Arthur, who has decided to break his Dragon Ride duck after ducking the ride for the last three years.
His morale seemingly at an all-time high after fine rides in recent evening time trials and a 24-hour mtb race, DA was caught recently talking about cracking six hours for the 120 mile Gran Fondo long route. We shall see, but I have promised to stay with him as long as possible, which the way he is going means the foot of the Rhigos at best.
In any case, we intend to start between 08:25hrs and 08:30hrs depending on groups and for relative anonymity will both be wearing Rapha “Johan Museeuw” Club Jerseys as shown.
So, any reader on the ride who sees either of us is welcome to say hello and even give a bit of a tow, especially over the Brecon Beacons and down the Neath Valley road. See you on the road…
