More than 100 of the country’s top cyclists will take part in the City of Preston Grand Prix this weekend (Sunday 28 September) – part of a day of top class sport at Preston On The Move.
Graham Briggs and Simon Holt, the country’s top two circuit race riders this year will be among those taking part in the event. Graham, who rides for locally-based pro team Rapha Condor Recycling.co.uk, won this year’s National Elite Series, contested over 12 races, by a narrow margin from his team-mate Simon.
Mark Sandamas, Director of Pennine Events, says: “With cycling being on such a boom following the Olympics it’s a wonderful opportunity for people of the area to saviour the excitement of top-class circuit racing. This is an exciting addition to our portfolio of top cycling events we put on with Cycling Development North West.”
