CTC challenge rides

Join inimitable TV cycling commentator David Duffield on his favourite routes around his home – A New venue and routes lay in store for riders on the third edition of the David Duffield Challenge on Sunday 11th June. The start moves a few miles up the road to Corsham in Wiltshire and TV commentator David Duffield’s new routes around his home roads now include an offroad route and a family route in addition to the 100km and 150km options.

The rolling routes pass through some of the prettiest villages in England like Lacock – picture postcard location of many a TV show and then via many of the Wiltshire’s historic sites: chalk White Horses, Avebury Rings, Salisbury Plain and Stonehedge. Small wheeled bicycle inventor Alex Moulton is once again opening up his home for riders in Bradford in Avon for welcome refreshments en route.

Route options: 100km, 150km , Family and Off-road

The rides follow a simple formula: rewarding routes, stunning scenery and great camaraderie coupled to a sense of great satisfaction in both completing the route and in the knowledge that you are raising vital funds for CTC Charitable Trust.

Download the Application form from the CTC website to take up the challenge in 2006 to help the CTC continue making cycling safer for all.

The rides raise vital funds and there are prizes for the best fundraisers. For further contact Challenge Ride co-ordinator – Matt Mallinder via e-mail: [email protected] or by phone 01483 520746
